James brings a unique combination of executive experience with Fortune 50 high tech, a variety of commercial start ups, and global non-profit organizations, as well as expertise in public/private partnerships and policy. With all of his grandparents having immigrated and become naturalized citizens, and having lived in a border state and worked decades in DC, James provides the vision and capacity to galvanize the efforts of NumbersUSA to empower voters to achieve a sensible immigration policy.

Anne is the COO and Secretary of the Board of NumbersUSA. In that capacity, she is responsible for organizational brand, Human Resources, and the design graphics Creative Team that produces all visual content for NumbersUSA. Having been with the organization for over two decades, she has had a hand in virtually all aspects of the operation, seeing it grow from a nascent grassroots group to the largest single-issue advocacy organization in the country. Anne is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.

With over two decades of experience in Operations and Strategic Initiatives, Mr. Huey, in his current capacity, endeavors to utilize his extensive knowledge and expertise to define and execute a strategic direction for modernizing the organization’s Information Technology, operations, and digital presence. His primary objective is to achieve and accelerate impact with the aim of enhancing the organization’s technological architecture and optimize its operational efficiency, and digital footprint. He is well-versed in managing complex systems and has a proven track record of driving innovation and growth. Mr. Huey’s illustrious career has been dedicated to aligning Information Technology solutions with enterprise needs, spanning across several industries, such as investment, medical, and media. His wealth of knowledge and experience is expected to significantly contribute to NumbersUSA’s cause objectives and bolster its position in the political sphere.

Andre Barnes is the HBCU Engagement Director for NumbersUSA. Barnes obtained a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies from the University of Virginia and a Master in Education with a concentration on early childhood from Moreland University. Barnes previously served as Admissions Advisor to Moreland University, Arizona College of Nursing, and My Computer Career. He also served as Janitorial Staff Manager in Alexandria, VA and High School Mentor with the University of Virginia College Guides. He is the Father of 4 and lives in Woodbridge with his wife of 12 years. Andre is a big fan of basketball and football, and loves spending time with friends and family.

Jeremy Beck has served in different capacities during his two stints with NumbersUSA, 1998-1999 and 2005-present, including hand delivering faxes from constituents to Members of Congress back when some Capitol Hill offices didn't have email. He spent his childhood summers road tripping across the American landscape and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity on the Eastern Shore. Jeremy graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University, where he was an Honors Scholar.

Andrew leads our effort to encourage state politicians to pass sensible policies like E-Verify and mitigate the effects of federal immigration enforcement failures. He started with NumbersUSA in 2011, contributing both to local activism and media initiatives along the way. Before that, Andrew was the Director of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. He is a graduate of American University but he grew up in Douglas County, CO - which experienced the highest percentage of growth from 1980-2009 of any county in America.

Rob is NumbersUSA's Sustainability Outreach Liaison, having joined the team in 2017. His superpower is serving as a connector to help accelerate the pace of progress. A graduate of Santa Clara University, Rob is committed to creating a more just and sustainable world with competence, conscience, and compassion.

Christy Mullens-Shaw is the Specialist to the CEO of NumbersUSA. Christy provides a wide range of support to NumbersUSA's millions of donors, activists, and members, keeping them engaged and informed on all matters related to the organization's mission to empower voters to achieve sensible immigration policy. Prior to her arrival at NumbersUSA, Christy served over 20 years as a secondary school teacher and adjunct instructor and is also a published author and certified grant writer. A West Virginia native and graduate of West Virginia University and Marshall University, Christy holds an MA in Foreign Languages and Literature (1995) and an MA in Leadership Studies (2012).

Grant has worked in the Federal Government Relations department for NumbersUSA since 2012. He represents NumbersUSA on Capitol Hill and works with Congress to craft and pass sensible immigration policy. He is a graduate of Christopher Newport University and Regent University School of Law.

Chris is the Chief of Staff for State Government Relations at NumbersUSA. He applied great focus and commitment to becoming an Eagle Scout and State Champion Archer. While studying Political Science at Rhodes College, he served NumbersUSA as an Intern in 2018. Chris’s experience as a Content Writer for NumbersUSA during the past five years validated his firm belief and commitment to supporting sensible immigration policy.

Jim is an original staff member of NumbersUSA, having served since 1996. In past roles, he headed the technology, recruiting, and fundraising portfolios. Currently, he is working to build out the NumbersUSA network of alliances as VP of Alliances and Activism.
Eric Ruark

Eric Ruark
Director of Research and Public Relations
Eric Ruark is the Director of Research for NumbersUSA and has worked on immigration policy since 2008. He has a B.A. and an M.A. in History from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his comprehensive Ph.D. exams in 20th Century European History, with a concentration in the history of science, technology, and the environment at the University of Maryland. Eric has researched and published extensively on U.S. immigration policy, and his work has been cited in national and international media reports. He testified before the Senate on agricultural guest worker programs in 2011.
